Wisteria Amethyst Falls

Wisteria 'Amethyst Falls' is a revolutionary, award-winning variety native to North America that grows at roughly a third of the rate of aggressive Asian wisteria species. This makes it perfectly behaved and uniquely suited for smaller spaces, tight courtyards, and even container gardening.

The real magic of 'Amethyst Falls' lies in its flowering habit. While traditional wisterias can take up to seven years to bloom, this improved variety is typically grafted to produce masses of flowers in its very first year. From late spring through summer, it puts on a spectacular show of plump, compact racemes packed with lilac-blue, amethyst-purple flowers that fill the air with a sweet, sweeping fragrance.
