Pseudopanax "Arboreus"

 Pseudopanax arboreus, commonly known as five-finger, is a New Zealand native tree belonging to the family Araliaceae. Typically grows as a small tree reaching 4 to 8 m  tall with a 3-5 m width when mature.  It has a fast growth rate and can reach its full height in about 5 to 8 years under ideal conditions.

This Five Finger variety responds really well to trimming, it will bounce back very quickly, even when given a heavy prune. If your plant becomes leggy, prune the top central stem. This will force the plant to branch out laterally creating a fuller shrub.
