Known as Ophiopogon planiscapus 'Nigrescens' or 'Black Dragon'.
It is a very popular slow growing ever green perennial known for its dramatic purple-black strap like foliage. ( a member of the asparagas family) It grows to an approx height of 15.20cm, producing small contrasting pale voilet to pink bell shaped flowers in summer , followed by dark blue black berries in autumn.
