Pseudopanax Lessonii Purpurea

Purple Houpara/Five Finger ,this is a hardy fast growing NZ native. Its evergreen foliage is  fan-shaped with 3-to-5 palmate leaves ( open pit attractive in any garden. It typically grows to a compact 3–4 m × 2.5 m.                                                                                                              This Five Finger variety responds really well to trimming, it will bounce back very quickly, even when given a heavy prune. If your plant becomes leggy, prune the top central stem. This will force the plant to branch out laterally creating a fuller shrub.
